Christys' London has been making fine hats since 1773. During the past decade, the demand for hats has grown at a rate beyond the proportion of the expertise/craftsmanship available in the UK, making it necessary for us to seek the same level of expertise and craftsmanship available overseas. In order to meet the demands of our customers and keep the cost of our products affordable, without a compromise in quality, we therefore had to move some of our production to China.


Here are a few details about our products Made in China:
  1. They are made by trained staff in China and all our suppliers are required to sign a declaration regarding ethical compliance.
  2. We use raw materials  mainly sourced from the UK or EU and sent directly to China.
  3. They are crafted in the traditional way, however, some items require production methods that are not available in the UK
  4. They are made using our equipment.
  5. All styles are created by our in-house Design & Production team
  6. They are made to the highest quality and inspected here by our UK Inspection Team prior to despatch.
We are constantly reviewing manufacturing all our products in the UK. With this in mind, it must be the most cost effective so that we can pass the best quality products and price to our valued customers.
